The Operators

These Isle of Wighters have become somewhat residents of the Festibelly stage in the last five years. Being with us since day one, they always manage to get the Belly’s moving on a lazy summer afternoon.

Born out of their collective love of both rock & dance music they look to combine the traditional elements of an indie band with the pace & electricity of a DJ set. After gaining airplay on both Radio 1 & 6 with Debut single B-Line all the way back in 2007, the band went on hiatus to focus on their many other musical projects as well as set up their very own Production & Songwriting House, Your Hands Music.

Returning as The Operators this year, re-invigorated by their work with so many new & diverse acts, their two part release of album ‘Old School House (-Step 1 & Step 2)’ is an ingeniously witty mash up of influences, trampling through nineties indie, electronica, drum ‘n’ bass & house.
Since their return in 2011, they’ve already played the Isle Of Wight festival, gained a single of the week on Amazing Radio and upcoming feature in Music Week, as well as having a track from forthcoming ‘Old School House – Step 2’ being used for the entire season on Sky Sports ‘Monday Night Football’. The Operators are back and ready for a big 2012.
